Last Night of the Cornish Proms - October 2024
Truro Choral Society (Music Director Martin Palmer) together with Truro Cathedral hosted an evening of Cornish culture and music at Truro Cathedral for a Last Night of the Cornish Proms. Also performing were Camborne Town Band (directed by Gareth Churcher), City of Truro Male Choir (led by Russell Pascoe), Suzanne Manuell (soprano), Victoria Stolte (viola), Stella Pendrous (piano) and Jeremy Wan (piano and organ). Roger Bush was compere for the concert. The photographs were kindly taken by and are copyright of Rev. Barry Coleman. The Rotary Club of Truro Boscawen kindly provided stewards for the event.

Traditionally, Truro Cathedral's Organ Scholar is invited to take on the role of accompanist to Truro Choral Society. Many of them have gone on to considerable success as professional organists, both in the UK and abroad, and the Society has followed their careers with great pleasure.

Come and Sing Mozart's Requiem - June 2023
The event was held jointly by Truro Choral Society and Truro School. Over 250 singers from Cornwall, Devon and much further afield took part in a 2-hour rehearsal, followed by a performance of the Requiem in Truro Cathedral. The soloists were kindly commissioned by Truro School, and the performance was accompanied by Truro School Chamber Orchestra. Thomas Dilley played the Cathedral's Father Willis organ.
